From your first training wheels to your last century ride, Coal Creek Cycles is Rocky Top's destination for expertly built bikes, honest advice, and service that keeps you rolling all season long.
Our Story
Coal Creek Cycles started with a simple belief: everyone deserves a bike that fits, a mechanic who listens, and a shop that feels like home. Tucked along Old Lake City Highway in Rocky Top, we've grown from a one-bay operation into the go-to spot for riders across East Tennessee — road warriors, mountain explorers, and weekend commuters alike.
What We Do
Whether you need a quick tune-up or a full custom build, our team brings craftsmanship and honesty to every job — no upsells, no shortcuts.
From entry-level commuters to race-ready machines, we stock a curated selection of quality frames and components. Every new bike comes with a professional fitting to ensure comfort and performance.
Brakes squealing? Derailleur skipping? We diagnose and fix it right. Our shop handles everything from flat fixes and brake adjustments to complete overhauls and hydraulic bleeds.
Dreaming of a bike that's uniquely yours? We design and build custom bikes from the ground up — road, gravel, mountain, or commuter — tailored to your riding style and body geometry.
Ready to explore the backroads? We carry bags, tires, tubes, and accessories built for all-terrain riding — plus expert advice on gear selection for your next adventure.
We support local cycling clubs, school teams, and group rides with group pricing, maintenance packages, and event support. Let's get more riders on the road together.
Coal Creek Cycles hosts regular group rides, mechanics workshops, and bike-drive events. Stop by for coffee, conversation, and the best cycling community in Rocky Top.

What Riders Say
Don't just take our word for it — hear from the riders who trust us with their bikes.
"Brought my old hardtail in for a complete overhaul and it rides like new — honestly better. The team took the time to explain every part they replaced. This is how a bike shop should be run."
"I needed a gravel bike that could handle the Tennessee backroads, and they helped me find the perfect one. The fitting session alone was worth the trip — I've never been this comfortable on two wheels."
"These guys are the real deal — knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about cycling. My kids' bikes are always sorted here, and we drive past three other shops to get to Coal Creek."
